Board of Directors

PAHW has a Board of Directors composed by a resolution; adopted by the Council of Ministers. The Board of Directors is chaired by the Minister and includes in its membership the General Manager of PAHW and six members acting with a capacity of not less than an Assistant Undersecretary. They represent the appropriate authorities related to housing, and three other experienced and competent members. The Board of Directors concerns itself with representation of the general policy of PAHW and its objectives within the General Development Plan of the State; in particularly following the duties listed below:

Sets short and long term housing policies and plans, according to housing growth, implementation, evaluation and development in a manner that achieves PAHW’s objectives.
Proposes the laws that serve PAHW's objectives on the proposals in this respect.
Decides construction of housing units in the areas to be allocated for housing purposes.
Decides the draft budget and balance sheet before submission to the appropriate authorities.
Approves the annual report on PAHW’s activities.
Sets the regulations and decisions required for the organization of PAHW's financial and administrative affairs, including the regulations required for investment, contracting, supply, concluding contracts for the projects and all activities relating to tenders, auctions, consulting and investment agreements.
Determines the rules and provisions that regulate PAHW's functional affairs, and exercises the capacities required for the Civil Service Board and Civil Service Commission.
Approves the implementation of policies, regulations and forms of all structural plans.
Sets the conditions and controls of cooperation with all investment models to overcoming any impediments that may prevent the private sector's contribution to the execution of its projects.
Assigns the technical regulations and standards for buildings, suburbs, zones and districts in all its investments/ crafts/ industrial/ services/ commercial and all other related projects.
